The Consumer Product Safety Commission ensures the safety of consumer goods offered for sale in the United States. Consumer Product Safety Commission may initiate recalls for certain products due to defective merchandise or otherwise potentially harmful to consumers.
Many products that do not fall within the jurisdiction of other federal agencies will be regulated by Consumer Product Safety.
